I’ve almost dropped my TH-D75A a couple of times thanks to the stock belt clip being way too short. It doesn’t grab my pocket securely, and it barely reaches over my belt. I also tried finding a holster that fits right, but no luck so far.

If you’ve got a Kenwood TH-D75A or D74A, do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Kenwood KBH-10 belt clip. It comes with a few extra screws — the 4 mm ones are the ones you’ll want to use (or you can just reuse your originals). The KBH-10 gives you a longer, sturdier hold whether you clip it to a pocket or belt, and it feels way more secure overall.

The belt clip also works fine with Kenwood KSC-25LSK charging dock.

clip on my 74 snapped so i got the metal one for the 72 to replace it
I’m looking for a very rugged belt clip since I am a wheelchair user and doing transfers can be hazardous to plastic belt clips. In the metal variety for Kenwood, I’ve only seen the leather belt loop with a metal button-type swivel belt clip.

I’m not sure if the hole spacing matches my Kenwood TH-D74A’s hole spacing. Do you have a part number for the metal belt clip that you purchased? Looking for options since the button style hanger shown above causes the HT to stick out further than I would like. Thanks in advance for yours or anybody else’s assistance!

Hi!

Shortly after I bought my TH-D74, I bought a KBH-11 belt clip. It is longer than the KBH-10 mentioned here, and has worked well for me. I put a KBH-11 on my TH-D75, shortly after I bought the radio last year. The screws are a little longer than the normal Kenwood belt clip supplied with these radios.

I don't have the drop-in charger for these radios. It looks like the radios with the KBH-11 belt clips might not fit in the drop-in charger.

73!

Going off the product description, these would fit since it replaces the KBH-10 (and KBH-11) since they have the same hole pattern:

SMKW1002 Swivel Clip Kit for Kenwood Radios – A-Wedge Belt Clip & Mounting Bracket

SMKW1003 Swivel Belt Loop Kit for Kenwood Radios – A-Wedge Leather Belt Loop & Mounting Bracket

Now you have me thinking about getting one of these!

Here's the Amazon listing for what appears to be a genuine Kenwood KBH-10:
