I just wanted to take a min and thank everyone for being here. I have had a scanner for over 3 years now. Last Oct at the Charlotte race I dropped my scanner. After that it would not work, so i bought a Pro-95. I was able to get it to trunk but could not understand how to put like fire in one bank police in one etc... I bought the program that R/S sales but it would not work with my scanner. After much frustration I started looking on the net for help. I stumbled in here and found all the help I needed. Tonight i was able to set up my scanner like i had dreamed of.With the help of win95 and reading some of the post I truely learned alot! So THANK YOU VERY MUCH for all your help.

Great work Hairy, and you did it all on your own research. Never seen you asking a bunch of questions on the boards. Well done

Glad to hear about your success!

I can only imagine the number of scanner enthusiasts that have given up and put their new scanner in the closet. When I first started programming my PRO-93, I was distraught by all of the keypress entries that were required to edit the text tags alone! Programs such as those by www.starrsoft.com have really made it simple, and fun! Also programs such as T4WIN!! I love that program and look forward it's successor (soon I hope!).

Sometimes I want to put up a billboard out by the main road in town advertising scanner programming assistance. I'd like to do that in my free time. I'll bet there's enough work to keep anyone busy in most towns!

LOL as long as your not advertising in SD..... weg.....


I imagine that if you do advertise as a "Scanner Shack" youll get busy fast.... And at least 50% will be Public Safety folks. Ask Larry SC and a few others....

I have now ten folks that I assist regularly in setting up scanners.. then resetting them up after they fiidle with them and don't take the time to learn how to do it right,.. and mess up thier scan lists etc....

I will be doing four this weekend for AMR and for Emergystat ambulances... the AMR two are PRO-2067's, the two Emergystats are going to run brand new 2096's.... So yay at least I get to play with em even though I can't afford my own yet.
