Hello.

This is a big THANK YOU! to Uniden for sending me a replacemt USB cable in the mail, I received it this morning and so far, so good. I figured that the stock USB cable for the BCD536HP was damaged.

I forgot to ask, and I want everybodys opinion what is the best third party freeeware for the BCD536HP?

As far as I know there is no third party freeware, at least for programming. Sentinel does everything you need.

Proscan programming software is not freeware as the OP was asking about.

It has a free trial, but costs $50 to register after the trial period ends.
