The PRO-43 was/is very popular due to its size, it's ability to RX MilAir, and its ability to restore some deleted spectrum.

I do not know if it was the best but I always have liked the Pro-34. I liked having the scan and manual buttons on the top of the radio not just on the keypad. It was also my first scanner with wow 200 channels how could I ever fill that many up! LOL
