if price was no option, go with the IC-R9500. The RR newsletter said it's only gonna be around $10,000. :wink:

Some features:
-High resolution spectrum scope
-0.005mhz- 3335.000mhz (excluding the cellular bands)
-1020 channels
-can store 60 minuntes of recorded audio
-accepts a USB keyboard for programming
-4 antenna connectors
-analog TV output

Best scanner

One thing for sure, I'd get a DIGITAL scanner because sooner or later something you'll want to hear is going to be digital. And being a Radio Shack GRE fan I vote for the PRO-96.

Isn't that like asking "What is the best (insert any object here) available?

Some friendly advice. Decide what you want to listen to and what bells and whistles you want in a scanner. You're not going to really enjoy scanning if you don't take some time to learn about it. Scanners are so much more than a home stereo system.

This question gets asked a few times a month in just about every Forum. Do a search on this forum, do a search on the various receiver Forums and lastly do a search on your State's Forum. You should find the answer to your question...Asked & Answered.
