The biggest bang for the buck (radio-wise) that you've purchased in the last year.

Okay, lets face it, if you hang out here, your into radio one way or the other. Many of us have purchased radios, cheap and expensive, but in the past year, what has your biggest bang for the buck turned out to be?

In my case it was the inexpensive RTL-SDR dongle kit. It's kind of hard to beat $40.00 for all it's capable of.

While it has been more than a year, the best value (when dollar-to-performance is the criteria) that I have ever had is the RSPdx SDR.

I want to get into this, but all I have is a few walkie talkies. The latest pack I got from my birthday was a pack of three walkie talkies with NOAA but no scan which is a shame. All three cost I think $30 in Canada.
