The buff / notification groups - clarity needed

I know this subject repeatedly gets beat like a dusty carpet which needs cleaning, but in trying to gain a clear picture about the frequencies of these working and current NYC pay-for-use radio groups (aka buff groups - {I hate that word}), I have the following list put together of what I understand to be the major and CURRENT & WORKING frequencies one could listen to. [wow that was a long sentence!]

Can someone please provide input to the 4th one listed. Thanks.

1) 451.725 100.0 NYCR

2) 453.000 167.9 CWRNY

3) 461.225 pl 167.9 CW1DS

4) 471.6625 141.3 What group is this freq belong to?

I know these are all separate entities, etc. Thanks!

Today on 451.725 100.0 NYCR I heard guys asking for another guy to drop off a ladder for him. Sounds like a construction guy. It was via the repeater.

Did you check NJ for licenses, I might be mistaken,but I thought that channel was or is on Alpine, and may have been moved to Hackensac Hospital. At one time it was a nice clean channel, I guess no more.
I also doubt that Statcom exists anymore. Another one of those hold in place paper licenses.


I just double checked 60mi radius of GCT in NYC the licensee I though was on Alpine is gone.

I'm just looking for the active notification groups, no need to pull the archival license data which is almost always old.

So far 461.225 pl 167.9 CW1DS seems to be the only daily functioning working one. But then again, that is my own scanning experience.

I don't listen or use the buff channels anymore, so my information might be a little old. (The days of Metro Traffic on 452.975 and 453.000 and CW on 461.675 )There are a few other I don't see in your list but I am not going to give them out without the owners permission. I know one is P-25 encrypted and the other is NB analog, and for now DES-XL.

Don't give them out, you don't have permission, you may get in trouble, violate some law or international pact. Vigilance in protecting frequencies from the public is everything, you my friend, rock.

That said, I am not soliciting for any information, other that the original query.

?????????? Not to be a smart ***, but I guess you mean that they can be looked up in FCC data base, but not who uses them. I agree.
