I am using Whistler TRX-2 Base-Mobile Digital Scanner Software ver 3.35

My scanner is NOT connected.

I tried to check for Library update and got this message.

There was an error downloading the current version information. The
The certificate presented by the update site is invalid

Anyone else getting this? Do I need to connect my scanner, update the Software or is there something wrong at the server end?

I purchased a TRX-1 today and I am trying to update the firmware. I am not able to receive any type of updates due to the website not having a valid certificate. I have searched the forums and noticed that this has happened last summer also. I am not sure if i am missing something or is everyone experiencing this dilemma. I also can't seem to get my computer to recognize the USB driver also provided from whistlergroup.com. I'm computer literate and believe these two issues to be related.

Any help or direction is certainly appreciated.

Thank you,

You have to go to whistlergroup.com and download the latest version of ezscan for your model scanner, it cannot be accomplished via ezscan because of this error.

Once updated, then you can update via ezcan in the future.

I appreciate all the help. The problem has been solved.

The first link for EZ Scan that is beside the title is 3.34

The link further down the page is the new version.

Thanks for your patience!

:) You have to go to the whistler site and download the EZScan software from there. Install that version over the version you have on your computer (you do not have to uninstall), and it'll work again. :)

On the whistler page there is a bad link. It will give you 3.34
you need to scroll farther down the page to find 3.40 in the table formatted box
some browser have issues showing the links near the bottom.

Just got my first Whistler today (TRX-2), and yes, the site certificate stuff was a royal PITA. As suggested, downloaded from the Whistler site, and all "appears" to be OK now. Thank the good Lord for Radio Reference.
