The CROSS DIPOL antenna for L-Band

Hi. Does anyone own a similar antenna, and what kind of reception results does it achieve?
Here is my CROSS DIPOL type antenna. I will give the dimensions of the antenna below. I'll add that during assembly I was inspired by the description and video from this page. Antenna CROSS BAND
The antenna is of compact type. I have two amplifiers that let the voltage through, so to avoid short-circuiting and damaging the amplifiers I had to install a 220pF ceramic capacitor between the main wire at the output of the antenna and the main wire of the cable.
The antenna is rated for about 1550MHz.
A piece of 50 ohm cable (H155 in my case). The working length between the shield and the dipole elements is 48mm (50mm after testing), so it needs to be a bit longer to properly prepare it for mounting.
The shorter dipole elements are each 40.4mm long
The longer dipole elements are each 50.5mm long
Distance of dipoles from the screen 48mm (after tests 50mm)
A balun soldered between the shorter element and the screen at a distance of about 3mm from the cable screen, 4mm from the connection to the main conductor at the top, the balun is parallel to the cable to which the dipole elements are attached. The shield can be a single-sided laminate. The construction is shown in the video from the page, the author explains exactly how to assemble the antenna.
I encourage you to build the antenna - it is worth it.
As the first amplifier I used the one in GPS antenna. I have desoldered the filter and original antenna and replaced it with soldered cable which I attached to the CROSS DIPOl antenna. Below is a set of components connected one by one.
The set is :
- CROSS DIPOL antenna
- H155 50 ohm cable from the antenna is 20 cm long
- SONIC 9590 75 ohm cable - 10 cm long
- GPS antenna amplifier
- 15 m of H155 cable
- ABL21 amplifier
- tuner
Due to the fact that the amplifier in GPS antenna works with voltage from 3V to 5V, I've modified ABL21 amplifier to give 5V max from the stabilizer to the antenna. On the "IN" side, I've soldered a choke to the output of the regulator and thanks to that ABL21 works on 12V, and the GPS antenna receives 5V.
The galvanized steel dish acts as a housing for the antenna as well as a reflector. Its dimensions are: inner diameter at the top 29cm, diameter at the bottom 20cm, depth 9cm. At the back, I attached a bracket from an old monitor with angle adjustment and a cable socket. At the front I'll mount a cover made of polypropylene or fiberglass, if I can find it somewhere, and the antenna will look more professional. I'll add that such placement of the cable inside the housing in my case did not degrade the reception sensitivity. This is a temporary solution. Ultimately I plan to mount the antenna outside, but I have to make another mount with regulation similar to that of a satellite dish.
