There are some interesting things in the Portland Public Safety (P25) database.

As an example check-
>Bureau of Technology Services Talkgroups - what were they
trying to do? What were they thinking? Many of these entities
have nothing to do with that bureau.

There must be a Californian turned loose in the OREGON DB...
PG&E is big, but not that big.
It's PORTLAND GENERAL ELECTRIC in the Portland area..

Do we have some LOCALS who can take care
of the database?
They would have likely caught these errors and others.

Just my 2 cents.

Agreed. They have an application process. I applied a couple years ago and never heard anything.

there have only been four db admins who have worked on that system since 08/2013, two oregon folks as well as ericcarlson who was the former head admin and wa8ypr who is the current head admin. the latter didnt work any of the submissions you are talking about.

whoops, i take part of that back, one is oregon one is washington.

you can certainly send them a message or submit corrections?

Mike,,I thought when the real Portland came to light on that show Portlandia that you guys up there would stop blaming us down south for everything that is wrong in the world.

Residing down here in Orange County I can still say I am dialed in and have better connections in the Portland area public safety field than most on this site. For example the info I provided on the timing and how the new Portland system would be rolled out was not bad for a guy, 1,000 miles away. See for yourself.

I'm not terribly offended, because we also do the same here and will also point south to point out a place more screwed up than Calif.

As you guys must be aware, the database gets its information from members, so if something is wrong and you want it to be corrected, you need to create a submission.

I've heard several complaints from different members about one of the local admin ignoring or screwing up submissions.

There are also a couple of TGs called "state patrol." Washington has state patrol, Oregon has state police.

BOEC does carry a patch to WSP dispatch.
