I've searched far and wide, exhausted every possible option. I came into a lot of these SC200s and I want to update them. Just looking to buy a cable from someone, hell even borrow.

It looks like that is a tough one. WZ-1407 is the part number but there is almost no info available. Let me know if you find a source for one.

race frequencies and driver names, circuits, etc. They all change. If one wishes to purchase one of these from me as a race scanner, I'd like to be able to update those without doing it manually, and with software you can add alpha tags. Additionally, you can add alpha tags to other standard conventional analog frequencies as well in softare. So, there's a lot you can do in softare that isn't FPP.

I just ran across this. It doesn't mention the SC200, but you might want to contact them to see if it or another one that they sell might work:

Here's a pinout diagram for the bc245xlt, which I believe is the same:

Specs:

I didn't get to go through all of this, as there were 8 pages of 96 parts per page for Uniden scanners:

If this cable doesn't work, you could ask them if they have one that does:

This thing is weird, definitely not a normal cable. RS232 to something weird I surmise.

If I can find mine I might donate it to you....or sell for $100 since they are unobtanium. ;)

Give me a couple of days to peck through the crap.

Original poster, just because I can't find unobtanium on my old out of date elements chart, if Kevin can cough it up, pay up before it goes to $200.😄

Op, seriously I think Rich has something here, I think a lot more BC245XLT units sold than the SC 200.. try an intensive search on Google and any other Market for the cable for the BC245XLT.. you might get lucky.

Plug the smaller end of the supplied RS232C cable into the remote port which is on the right side of the scanner.
Plug the other end of the cable (DB-9 serial connector) into a personal computer’s serial port.
