I'm listening to IBN's Inauguration feed and I keep here people refer to "the jock" or something.

I figure it must be some sort of commander.

Also, what's with all of the cranes?

Plus, what's the difference between the "Bomb Assessment Center" and "Bomb Management Center"?

Wow...

JOCK = JOC (Joint Operations Center)
Cranes = Tow Truck

I figured a construction crane.

Though I don't know why I didn't think of a tow truck, I remember how many people call them a crane.

I guess I've been watching too much Mythbusters, where they normally mean construction cranes, LoL.

EDIT: Well I meant, at first I thought it was a construction crane and not a tow truck then eventually I figured they are calling for it too many times for it to be a construction one.

I thought it was a real crane as well until they wanted them for removing cars.

Yea....

Well, I guess you could remove vehicles with a real crane, LoL.

Don't think the others would be happy, but you could do it.

EDIT: Oh and you can tell that I'm becoming a true radio scanner geek. I mean most people look at Christmas, New Years Eve, Inaugurations, Festivals, and other special events as fun and a time to enjoy yourself. I think most people think, "how can I party/celebrate?", my first thought is, "Boy, I wonder if there will be anything good on the scanner and I think I better record it."

Guilty as charged! I've sold all mine off and waiting for Grove to ship our my 396T so I've got the every ScanAmerica feed streamed to my cell phone for the time being.

Glad to know, I'm not the only one who uses Portable Devices as a scanner. Well, obviously they are not doing the scanning but it can feel like it to a point.

I'm amazed I never got in to this stuff a long time ago.

Just sucks how you can't really use TeamSpeak on Portable Devices (excluding laptops), because some awesome feeds are on TeamSpeaks.
