Years ago I tried scoping them out a little bit and discovered they were running DMR with encryption. That was awhile back though, they could be in the clear now? Would be strange to switch back after being encrypted though.

Diskmonger, The M Resort is still on the same UHF DMR CC14 encrypted system you spent the time to analyze & map-out several years ago.

The Housekeeping & Maintenance TG on 451.8875 DMR CC9 repeater is a different high-profile system -- only takes about 20 min of listening & some junior detective-work on-line to figure out who it is, so I won't spoil the fun for people who like to challenge themselves a little.

Yeah, well that's all fine and dandy, but what about the buffet frequency?

Radio service is "IG" so if I were to venture a guess I'd say these are either all separate conventional DMR channels or a MotoTRBO CAP+ system could be possible. One giveaway for the latter is if you brief data bursts every 2 seconds on one channel (rest channel). DSD+ would tell you for sure

Great question! If like many casino/resort buffets, it's UHF simplex. Last I checked, M Resorts did have numerous simplex channels licensed to it. Let's rob a bank so we can afford the expense of eating at the buffet there & find the freq.
