Just dropping in some shack up-dates. Got to cleaning up the living room (where the equipment lives) and wanted to throw in some up-dates. Couldn't find my old Shack pic posts so started a new thread. But my shack is archived somewhere here.
Currently I run: R/S Pro-136 (Great for Weather, FM Radio and local stuff) It will pick up Dallas almost Crystal clear with that PRYME RD-98 UHF Antenna. I have the BC898T running through the PC streaming Collin Co. Sheriff and McKinney PD on ScanAmerica: Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners. My Newest Scanner, the Pro-106 is my workhorse. And I have a Pro-2052b sitting on the left speaker. A'top of it, a GE Communications (Maxon SM-4400 16-Channel UHF Mobile. I have several GMRS repeaters in it and Dallas Police. it's attached to a 9 element Motorola Yagi on the roof. Yes, that's an Icom IC-F43GT and a Motorola P110 to the left and right of the monitor. All my scanner's and PC run through the power amp on the left side of the desk, the Pro-106 outputs through the Logitech desk top speakers, Both the Pro-106 and 898T run on a VHF J-Pole on the roof. The 136 and 2052b are on Indoor duck antenna's. 2 power supplies feed the entire radio system Freeing up my wall outlets for the Computer and some chargers. It's functional and works. Might not look the best, but it works for me and Will always be in transition. Ever changing, growing and being fixed until the "perfect" station pop's out of the floor!
