THE NEXT METRO CLEVELAND OHIO SCANNER MEETING...

...will be on Rocktober (October) 17TH, 2004 from 1pm to 4:45 pm
or 13:00 to 16:45. This meeting is in a the main building of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. Sunday library houres during the school season are from 13:00 to 17:00.
The room will hold up to 75 people.
Here is the AGENDA:

1 Short overview of Trunked Radio Systems(TRS)-15 minutes
2 Short overview of APCO 25 Digital Systems-15 minutes
3 Overview of the Ohio MARCS communications system-20 to 30 minutes
4 Overview (and Quick Demo ?)of the Radio Shack Pro96 Digital
Scanner as it relates to MARCS-30 minutes
5 Break-15 minutes
6 Overview of programming software, cables,etc for enterring MARCS
data into scanners-15 minutes
7 Demo of Win96and PRO-96 programming software for the Pro96-60
minutes with Q&A
8 Discussion of the next meeting, subject and agenda-till 4:45pm

I'm just gonna take a shot in the dark and say October 17. I could be wrong, but I'm getting a really strong vibe that October 17 is the day.

You have to have an interest in scanning is about the ONLY requirement that I can really think of. This is supposed to be the ffirst organized (formal ) meeting. The past 3(?) [ I have only attended the last two. ]
have been informal.

As a former Clevelander (actually Bereaite) you guys started the gettogether too late. That would have been so nice to have gone to. Anyway I am now in Charlotte and enjoying it here.

1. Can't he look at a calendar to what day of the week October 17 is?
2. The original posting listed the SUNDAY library hours. Not too much of a stretch to figure out there must be a reason for listing those hours in conjuntion with the meeting times.

Actually there are two reasons for listing the Sunday Hours:
1. The meeting will be held on Sunday - October 17Th, 2004
2. The county library system is only open on Sundays during
the school year. This means that if I want to go to a library on
Sunday; I have to go to Lakewood.
