The NHP 150 MHz TRS System

I submitted a question last week on the Nevada Highway Patrol 150 MHz Motorola Type II Smartzone system that is listed in the RR database. I did not get a response to my question. I either confused everyone, or I asked a dumb question. I will try to rephrase this question again.

I’m aware that the 150 MHz trunk system is being phased out with the newer 800 EDACS trunk system. But I’ve also read in this forum that it is still active (sometimes), and maybe for some time. I will be visiting the Las Vegas area over the Fourth of July weekend. I would like to monitor this system if it is working. Now for my question

I will use the following example from the RR database (Clark County, LV) to articulate my question. I’m using an Uniden 785D (digital capable) scanner.

From the RR Database:
Site (102) Rio Hotel (Central LV)

Freqs: 151.1300*, 151.4000, 154.3100, 155.3100, and 155.5050

*Control Channel

After loading the frequencies into my Uniden 785D, I then select Trunk Systems for the bank I just loaded the frequencies. I’m then asked to pick the appropriate Trunk System. The choices are listed:

Motorola Type II 800 Mhz system
Motorola Type II 900 Mhz system
Motorola Type I system
Motorola Type II VHF
Motorola Type II UHF
EDACS Wide
EDAC Narrow
EDACS SCAT
LTR

From the choices presented above, I selected the Motorola Type II VHF system --- none of the others seem to fit. The Uniden scanner then ask for the following information:

Base Frequency
Spacing
Offset Channel

I can program three sets of the above.

My question is where is this information found, or is it necessary. Someone must have this information. Any help will be appreciated.

It is my understanding that this system is no longer functional. If I am wrong, the following should work:

Base Config 1 Base Freq 151.010 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 380

Base Config 2 Base Freq 153.740 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 413

Base Config 3 Base Freq 154.650 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 461

How did you calculate these three base frequencies ... Please explain the math/theory for selectingf 151 (Ch 380) , 153.740 (Ch 413), and 154.650 (Ch 461) as the correct setting. I trying to learn how this works. Your feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Base Config 1 Base Freq 151.010 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 380

Base Config 2 Base Freq 153.740 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 413

Base Config 3 Base Freq 154.650 Space Freq 15.0 Offset Ch 461

In all honesty, I don't have a clue about the math/etc. I have read an explanation about that somewhere, but since I don't need this information for any systems I listen to, I didn't really pay attention.

The info I posted can be found on this site, under the system news for that particular system, if it is indeed still in use.
