From what I see, only a 396XT. The rest of the equipment is signal amplifiers and filters.

You are correct, Its a Realistic SA-10 Amp, The other is a GE S-990 head connected to nothing, I only wired up the display lights.

I really like the way you have the two GRE units stacked apart like that with the Grove filter in between.
Those SA-10 amps are perfect for scanner use, I have two of them in use here with recording equipment.

Is the super converter still useful with the older scanner?

I don't have an old scanner so I can't try the Converter.
