Can anyone point me to any threads where the delay topic has been addressed, with an actual explanation given? (I am assuming there has been one given, and someone remembers it having occurred.)

I just can not understand why some individuals get so upset when the subject is the successful decryption of certain two way radio systems by America's fun loving scanner community. Clearly we will never defeat anything over 50 bits so what's to worry about.

Oh yes has anyone ever researched whether or not you can stream encrypted audio to a foreign country for "analysis". I mean not everyone in the world has statutes prohibiting this "analysis"

I hear Florida got an F on public transparency. They hide everything from the public until they get a big hurricane then their secrets get blown all over the place when their flimsy construction fails. Public encryption=incompetence or corruption. Private business encryption=jerks.

No! I'm not twelve but I used to be. How about you? When I was twelve we lived in a free country not some quasi police state. Believe me we are not over the edge but we are getting there. When I was twelve you could buy a police voice descrambler in the back of a gun magazine. About the only improvement I see is all these new silent pellet guns. Yes, contrary to the wishes of the control freaks we are shooting silently in our backyards and off the power lines at pest birds. You seem to be the type of prude who would run to a "friend" at city hall should you find a dead crow or sparrow in your yard.

You really think Lindsay with his "I only provide the platform, I don't force the providers to feed their radios" attitude of liability deflection would shut it down? He'd try to make as much money off of it as he could before the Feds caught up to the guy.

Personally I would never put a feed up on this site.I probably won't send in any new talkgroups I've recently discovered either. Unless they were encrypted of course! What I'm looking for is for how exactly did these security researhers crack this ADP. I think this info should be public knowledge. Is their some law that prohibits people from sharing info or programs they've devise?. I personally don't think that these agencies would go AES because they are already strapped for cash. I mean I could go out now and buy a TRBO radio with basic privacy or a NXDN radio with scrambling and use it to descramble but I wouldn't do such a thing. I only come here seeking knowledge.

Oh and by the way The Daily Iberian has reported that our sheriff faces even more charges related to his behavior at the jail. Once again the dirty mix of encryption,,abuse of office and corruption rear their dirty head.

If you "wouldn't do such a thing" , then why are you so hell bent on cracking ADP?
Look, there's no issue with learning about encryption. It's a fascinating subject. I just think you're looking for someone to give you some magic Ovaltine decoder ring which isn't going to happen.
If you're really interested in learning about encryption, read this book on RC4. Moto's ADP and EP are based on it.
