• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

    Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value.     The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

    For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I'm hoping the years of expertise and knowledge on this site can help me to find the perfect radio (if one such exists) for what I am looking for. I have poured through the internet, researched several radios, and havent found what I'm looking for; It may not exist. First, I am looking for a professional radio, of good quality and design/functionality. I work in EMS for a town that uses VHF primarily for dispatch and communication, however, Hospital MED channels, and local paramedic service uses UHF. Therefore, the first and most important criteria is at least a professional dual band radio. I would like MDC and Quickcall technologies to "page" when a tone drops. I really like the format of the Motorola HT1250, however these are not dual band, and would require two radios. This is the main thing I'm looking for.
The last option, and to have the perfect radio would be one that does the above mentioned things, and also is digital capable, and adding the 700/800MHZ band. Is there no radio out there that is capable of these things?? Please let me know your thoughts. I appreciate them all!

It appears to me that you are looking for a "triple-band radio". There is no such animal in existence.
