MARS and LERN will be very active . Probably one of the Seattle PSOP talkgroups. JIWN and Secret service activity might be in the clear for a brief period.

I said might, I didn't say will. There is a much better chance of catching communications related to the police motorcade and securing places along the route.

SS in the clear? VERY briefly at all! 100's of POTUS trips for me, and it's been years since any comms of interest were in the clear.

The one folks forget about is ATC freq...sometimes on the military, often on the regular approach/tower/ground/depature freq. It's kinda cool to hear the pilots call in with the callsign AIR FORCE ONE.

You know, I've actually never scanned milair when he's been in town before. Keep your ears on the KPAE and ATC freqs. He's about to depart.

Fair enough, did you figure out who 298.3, 229.725 and 246.475 were since your original posting?

I believe 298.3 was Oregon ANG. 229.725 was definitely an air to air frequency and I'm still not sure about 246.475. The aircraft using the callsign "Wizard Alpha" was an AWACS aircraft, I believe an E6.
