I did them myself but I used to have a pro 106 still do until I fried it trying to do it myself the 106 is so small inside where you tap it there is no room for error that's why I got bct-8 because they are super easy. Find someone who has good skills at small places and a very steady hand.

If you can find an PRO-92 they are literally the easiest to tap in the universe. Doesn't matter if it is an 92, 92A, or 92B, exactly same for the TP. Easy to find, and easy to fit wire to and solder.

I haven't seen anything yet, they are using the same frequencies so as soon as I see something in unitrunker I'll post it.

I noticed some discussion about tapping, converting and such. All of you out there who can speak dumbed down tech talk please help. Tell me which Radio Shack (hopefully) a table model that I send off to a pro to get it tweaked so I can listen to THP and eventually other agencies that decide to go "Secret Squirrel). When I was a 9-1-1 Communication Opr, that was what we called it when all the Sheriff Office and City PD's would use cell phones. I told our director he should raise H..L with the Sheriff and PD chief as number 1, we did not know who was out there working and second, their transmissions weren't recorded to save their butts and we also had no idea where they were. It was like we were trusted and they for some reason did not realize we were their lifeline when they get in trouble. Also, what should these surgeries on Radios cost, Thanks ahead of time, Mitch

Well if some thp or who ever goes encrypted it is ILLEGAL to listen to them. I have no idea how , and I believe to it's against forum rules to discuss methods of breaking radio encryption. as far as p25 phase 2 (new system they are going too) if it's out in the open the only scanner currently out is the gre psr-800 uniden did announce two more scanners today that will be released in January that will also monitor p25 phase 2.

One thing that is odd, the data stream that is being transmitted on 770.28125 and 769.15625 sound the same but the data that is transmitted on 770.80625 sounds different.
I know they are still testing the site because it is not showing "DAT" on my scanner yet, but would this be the difference between Phase 1 and Phase II data stream? I have no scanner to decode Phase II so only time will tell.

Is it showing Site Trunking or Wide Area Trunking using software like Pro96Com, or Unitrunker etc? It could just be in signal test mode still until its "area" is full. Is there an zone/site id number broadcasting yet? Site NAC?
