Okay, this will probably boil down to just me participating, but I'm gonna be stuck at home this weekend so I challenge everybody to log as many countries as you can this weekend!

Time: 0000z October 16, 2010 to 0000z October 18, 2010
Bands: All broadcasting bands (longwave, mediumwave, shortwave) just no ham stations.
Logs: post them here in text. Include Country, station, frequency, language, SINPO, date, and time.

List of countries: http://naswa.net/images/NASWA_country_list.pdf

Latest schedules can be found on the combined skeds spreadsheet: S H O R T W A V E S T U F F

Description of SINPO code: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SINPO

Try to be fairly certain that you're hearing what you claim to be hearing. Get the ident at the top or bottom of the hour if possible or at least make sure that the language matches what's on the spreadsheet. Example: I know that I can hear the heterodyne of North Korea on 4450khz in the morning and there isn't anyone else broadcasting on that frequency, but I won't log it unless I can verify that it's Korean I'm hearing.

Also be careful that you're not logging Sweden when you hear Radio Sweden, when in fact it's being re-broadcast from Canada. Or Venezuela when it's being relayed by Cuba.

That's it!

Good luck and have fun!

Sounds like a lot of fun. I will be doing antenna work this weekend, so probably won't have much time for anything serious but will certainly be listening at some point. Good luck and good DX.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; SPH-M900 Build/ECLAIR) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

This begs the question, why are you stuck at home all weekend? You can't be snowed in this early?

I can think of plenty of fun stuff to do, but more importantly there's too many chores to be done around here as well.

Just snagged Zambia on 4965khz.

Gotcha. My entire weekend is filled up with chores as well. I should be very "refreshed" for work on Monday.

I think years ago..I had Trans World Radio via a relay in the Netherlands Antilles ( South America)
Sent 'em a letter kinda like a QSL query, and they sent me a big 'ol Manila mailer full of pens and pencils, calendars, maps, even postage stamps?!!? And a little whistle that made my dog crazy.(er)
So..might give it a try. Got cards and letters from 'em for two-three years!

Yeah, Japan is tough here! We'll have to do this again - maybe in January. How about an AM BCB logging weekend?
