I TOO have looked high and low, trying to find the "Rants" section in The Tavern forum, which is mentioned at the top of every Radio Reference page. Can someone please supply the correct link? It might also be a good idea to put the correct link in the "Effective immediately we will be............" notice that appears at the top of every forum page. Thank you so much.

The above thread (3 years old) had one IMO unrelated reply and non-answer, and was quickly closed.

I expect that REGARDLESS of how Nov 5th turns out (either way), that there WILL be some kind of civil unrest minimum. I'm surprised the US Dollar has not collapsed. It is tough but I have found websites that have forums like this. So, (The Tavern- does it exist?) I am looking for a forum for others who feel this way, and how it will affect our hobby (Digital News Gathering etc). I suspect there are many people attempting to get their grocery list of things to do, purchase, or settle business deals before Nov 5th and SHTF. I suspect it will actually occur shortly AFTER but it doesn't hurt to get prepared. Aside from 9/11 and the 2024 cyber warfare events that were successfully covered up, (or labelled software glitch) we haven't seen a war on our own soil.. yet.

I have also noticed politics or not, posts are often labeled as 'political' or 'off-topic' by moderators who apparently disagree. Judging by the one (and only) response the other guy got that asked this. It was suggested that he wanted to talk about encryption -a topic he never mentioned (type casting). Does the Rants section exist or is it like Whistler?

We used to have Politics forum, but it was dominated by one person who almost never posted any radio content. The Politics forum was closed and that person disappeared. Apparently, that user was only here for the political discussion.

Radio Reference is primarily a radio group. If an incident happens in your area and radios are involved, talking about that incident in the appropriate state forum would be appropriate.
