From the SWLing.com blog, and it's very welcome news.

The move to a digital format (I would assume an E book or PDF) is long overdue. I know that some folks don't like it, but publishing costs for hardcopy is skyrocketing, and it's simply a necessary development

1. Direct link to PDF announcement from WRTH.
2. "The next edition of the "world’s most comprehensive and up-to-date guide to broadcasting" will be published in December 2022 in a printed and a digital version."
3. "The rights have now been transferred to Radio Data Center GmbH (RDC), based in Freising, Germany"
4. This is good news for many.

The SWLing.com is fine for me - it's possible that Tom had a glitch....

I think I read somewhere that the digital version will be a searchable web site. Great idea, if that's true

hard copy book

The digital version can be updated quickly, but you would need to wait until the next edition of the hard copy is released to get those changes.

Do you still have a white pages telephone book?

I think back to the days when a new Police Call was released. Are they available anymore?

But that's exactly one of the reasons I like to have a physical copy - being able to go back and see when changes occurred or look up info about a station before a change occurred, etc. It's reference material. The internet is great for up-to-the minute info, but I'm finding more and more often lately it's getting harder to find legacy information that isn't specifically archived somewhere.
