You can tell winter is approaching, new sites popping up before the snow shows up.

Site 232 is showing up as a neighbor to Sunlight Peak, but failed. It's frequency indicates that it's the Hagerman Pass Site.

Hagerman Pass State Leadville 10 Mi W of Lake 39 15 32 106 28 56 12054 WQGQ316 852.8625 853.2750 852.6500 852.3750 851.5875

Failed at the moment.

Hagerman was needed to get the Granite site (between Leadville & Buena Vista) operational.
Might see it come up shortly after Hagerman.

Site 232 - Hagerman Pass

Showing Connected, Current this morning.

It's on the air. Now if someone can cruise through Leadville and confirm that it's really Hagerman Pass.

Today in Leadville

Took a little trip to Leadville today. Site 232 has fair hearability in Buena Vista and naturally improves as you go north. There are some dead spots on US24 between Buena Vista and Leadville.

Only affiliation was TG 8335 Saguache Co SO radio ID 265031 (no audio heard).
Heard single brief transmissions from TG 8035 CDOT 7L, TG 2543 Buena Vista Correctional Facility vehicle maintenance, and TG 9497 Bureau of Reclamation at Twin Lakes.

In conventional VHF:
CSP 2A in the Leadville area is still on 154.770 (141.3) and Lake Co SO/Leadville PD are on 154.695 (103.5). I THINK these are simplex. These freqs do not agree with RRDB or FCC license search but that's what my PSR500 heard in search and sweeper modes. These freqs are listed in the 1997-98 SCAN COLORADO book for Lake Co.

Gas is $2.61 in Leadville. Temperature was 21 and there's 2-3 inches of snow on the ground.

I will be submitting a claim to ABQSCAN for a Friends and Family mileage reimbursement :)
