Any radio comms in and around the US capitol are recorded 24/7/365. Unless strong encryption is used (and even so), what is said in DC stays on tape in DC.

I don't believe political name calling from either side serves any purpose useful on this site, even if "radio" is used as a vector in the process. Further an extremist by definition is solely based on one's perspective/opinion. In this case, Slate is a Left wing biased site, so anything Right of them is defined as "extreme".

I'm not a moderator, but I ask people to please avoid political subjects as it has a way of inflaming tensions, and going bad real fast. Besides, any group can use radios, targeting one side, whatever side, is just another way to instill division.

It's tempting, kudos on at least giving it a try.

To the original poster, it works both ways, well organized far left extremist looted and burned our major cities for a whole summer of violence under the guise of peaceful demonstrations, using sophisticated radio equipment and scanner apps.

As far as the government being able to control them, they stood by and watched and in some cases aided them. It depends on the politics of those in charge.

You might feel that these far right extremist groups are coming after you but I can assure you, they are not coming after me...
