Are you scanning from a favorites list or from the main database?

If you are scanning from the main database, when was the last time you updated your database?

From the Home Patrol main menu, tap on

MENU --> ADVANCED MENU --> scroll down arrow --> VERSION INFORMATION

What does it say there for the database date?

According to the database, some of those agencies may now be using P25 Phase 2, which the Home Patrol 1 can not receive.

Fulton County P25 Trunking System, Atlanta, Georgia - Scanner Frequencies

You may want to ask a moderator to move your post to the Georgia state forum to get some local info on that.

The Radio Shack Pro-668 will also handle P25 Phase 2; you can find one on eBay in the $250 - $300 range.

I would recommend the HP-2 for the simple fact you already know how to use it and have your FLs which will write to the HP-2 using the same software.
