In January of 2008, HME was awarded a multi-year contract from the State of California to build 120 Type 1 fire engines for Cal Fire, the Governor ’s Office of Emergency Services, the Department of Corrections and the Sonoma Center. Since then and despite the economic downturn 13 of these trucks have been distributed to California fire departments

These engines were paid for before everything hit the fan. That was if the state could buy anything to hit the fan.

Just took ours (354) for a spin today. Not bad for a state ride!
