I saw there was a place I put a check in that saids" I will not in so many words stream any police dispatch that checks NCIC checks or criminal history checks "last I knew every police feed on here does that!!! So does that mean there will be no more police channels heard on here? O yea to funny there was over 2000 listeners on a feed the other day of a swat incident!!!

There is nothing about not being able to stream dispatch. Might want to reread and pay special attention the word "dedicated", or look through one of the many threads that have been created about this.

I see that but most of your police departments ask for NICIC checks and criminal history on all frequencies so what is the difference? If we are going to band it from one place then banned it from everywhere! The other day there was over 2000 listeners including myself listening to the St Peters burg Florida swat incident. It seems we are choosing who can stream and who can not stream incidents. Now you can not tell me no one from radio reference room new this was streaming? This streamed for like 5 hours. I took my pd off line because my pd does use NCIC and criminal check on all frequencies. If a incident should happen while I am not home then I am not responsible on what my stream streams. You are right about streaming swat incidents but most swat teams are encrypted these days. Maybe RR should have a radio monitor person. Your going to lose a lot of folks who stream their radios because of this policy. Again if you are going to ask for us not to stream certain frequencies and we need to ban all frequencies that you can find the same info on. I switched my scanner to mostly fire now!

Dead wrong... There are some where you may hear those checks from time to time, but as you'll note if you read the TOS again that is not a violation.

It seems we are choosing who can stream and who can not stream incidents.

I don't think it's "who" at all, unless you got a different TOS than I did. It's "what" they are streaming which has been chosen, which makes sense of course.

This has got to be the millionth thread about this nonsense. The damn TOS says dedicated.....what do you people not understand about this?

If fact I think you understand it perfectly, but are just looking to find a reason to start an argument.

If this hobby is so uninteresting to you, that you need to start BS discussions over something that any half wit can and does understand.....then FIND A NEW ONE!!!!

I understand the new TOS perfectly. I terminated my feed because I didn't agree with some things in the new TOS. For example, one cannot stream school buses anymore. I had the local school bus lines in my feed as a SERVICE to the people listening to my feed. I had these in here because of the area I live in. We are prone to lots of snow and bad roads, if the school buses were cancelled for the day, I'd hear it on my scanner long before it was announced on the local radio station. My listeners appreciated this. I've been told so by many of them. But now it's against the TOS. Since my feed can no longer provide this service, I've decided to discontinue it. I have nothing against RR for doing so, and I will continue to use and support RR.

Why are there so many threads/posts about the new live audio feed T.O.S.?

If you disagree with the T.O.S. for any reason, then just don't provide a feed. It seems quite simple to me.

People should be happy the rules are still relatively unrestricted. If it were up to me I would ban all law enforcment feeds and require a 1hr delay on everything else. And regarding the schoolbus issue, chances are they comminicate conventional analog vhf/uhf channels that even the cheapest scanners can monitor.

The TOS on this is as follows:
Feed providers agree to not broadcast private businesses (Taxis, Buses, Towing, Security, Rental etc).

Notice the words "private businesses" - followed by examples.

We deff do not want buss feeds.
That is a feed that only does buss's.

This is OK:
Hometown Fire
Hometown Police

This is not OK:
Hometown Charter Buss Service.
ABC Taxi Service.
Home Guard Security

I think your are making an assumption that may or may not be correct.

How about asking us a question like this:
Does this TOS policy apply to my feed?

Other have do this to their stratification.

I suggest you e-mail me with what you are doing and ask that question.

This way we can take your comments into consideration to see is the TOS police applies to your feed or not vs assuming something that may or may not be true.

I spent the last hour listening to feeds and had no problem hearing several obvious violations of the TOS. Some that support tags... even indicate they are dedicated TAC channels.

TAC channels are not against the policy. I believe some here are confusing TAC channels with surveillance type channels. Tactical means same thing as TAC, these are channels used for like car to car talk.

Since that example is NOT a violation, can you point out any that are?

kendrik578 is correct.

What did you remove?

We should be able to help determan if they are TOS compliant or not.

Best is to ask: Is this OK or not?

I removed CPD patrol tactical 2A,2B, 2C

That looks OK as far as I can tell since it looks like a general PD Tac channel used for several purposes.

It is listed in the RR DB like this:
484.31250 South Bureau Tac 2

Here are examples of what we do not allow as these are specific:
506.77500 SWAT - Talkaround
484.58750 Metro 2 (SWAT)
506.36250 Scientific Investigation Division
