This past weekend, I tried CC in Ark,

Actually in and around Texarkana with all the known control channels for the entire state in one bank and I got nada! I tried all 4 plans, same result. I was using my older BC 785 D.

Any suggestions?

I assume you are talking about the AWIN system? If so, I think the 785 is only capable of 3600 bps. The control channels on the AWIN system are 9600bps. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

How dumb I am; I don't think I knew the 9600 bps requirement. Thanks for educating me.

Yep, 9600 is correct. The BC250D and BC785D scanners will not work. Only scanners that will work is:

BCD396T
BC796D
BC296D
Pro-2096
Pro-96
