This week I resurrected my BC 230

but have not been able to find my owner's manual. I NEED HELP!

I can't remember how to program a search in it.

Also, not living in a "trunked" area, I need to input talkgroups for Louisiana State Police. I was able to program my trunked Louisiana area frequencies and confirmed last date that I did that much right but I did not do correctly the TGs.

Does the 230 act like a Control Channel scanner?

The 230xlt doesn't let you put in talkgroups. That radio was simply a rebadged 220XLT (which I have, good conventional scanner, that).
