Is part of Thornton ch 3 PD encrypted. I am hearing part of the transmission and then the other side is garbled.

Yes in the TOP SECRET City of Thornton :roll:, they have decided that they should use encryption on their Tac TG (Ch. 3). They don't use it all the time or, like you heard, on only one side of the converstion.

That makes a lot of sense(yeah right).I love city government!

Thornton has user selectable ENC ability since day one when they switched to DTR. Even on channel 1.

Be glad they don't go full time with it.
