Thoughts on the REM-830B Antenna for SDS 200

I use this and it works well for 700-800MHZ but it's awful for VHF, I can't even receive my local NOAA broadcast.
I also wish it would swivel further as I tilt my 200 up to see the display better and the antenna is not completely vertical when you do this.

If it's not too late, the only suggestion that I have would be to order the correct 830 for your radio's connector. I don't like to use adapters unless it's my only option.

It's the same antenna, but with a 90-degree hinge.

So I assume it makes a lot more sense to use it on a SDS200 that is sitting flat, as opposed to my SDS100 except if I use a desk mount or equivalent with an inclination so I can keep the antenna perfectly vertical.

Can't think of any other reasons why I could benefit from this on my handheld.

Yeah, I don't see any reason to use it on an SDS100. For starters, it's BNC, not SMA, so you'd need to use the adapter.
Absolutely. Although I have decided to install BNC plugs on all my radios.

I'll end up buying the 800B.
