Does anyone know the screw size for the empty threaded hole in the back of the radio? Is it 4mm? I want to use that hole for grounding my two BCD536HP radios in my shack. Thanks!

Is there a size stamped into the chassis right over the screw hole?

Now that I look closer, I do see "M4 X10 max" above the hole. I assume that refers to the empty hole? My eyes aren't what they used to be ;)

That would be a 4mm diameter (standard thread pitch 0.7mm) screw, maximum 10mm long.

It means the screw that fits in the hole would be, Thread Diameter: 4mm, Thread Pitch: 0.7mm, Thread Length: 10mm

10mm is very close to 3/8 of an inch and that's the max they advise the screw should protrude into the hole. If your mounting into a thin sleeve, a m4 x 10 will be fine. If your going thru something thicker, you don't want more than 10mm or 3/8 going into the hole.
