CENTENNIAL - Arapahoe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home after receiving reports of a woman firing a gun.

According to police, a distraught woman went outside of her home in the 7000 block of S. Elizabeth just before 3 p.m. and fired one shot before returning inside.

A friend of 47-year-old Judy C. Baack was with her at the time. She left house and contacted police after Baack fired the gun and said that she was suicidal. She was not hurt.

Police took Baack into custody without incident at around 4:30 p.m.

No one was injured and she was alone in the house. As a precaution, at least seven neighbors were evacuated.

Baack was taken to the Justice Center Detention Facility on probably charges of reckless endangerment.
