Those frequencies would be active for routine maintenance usage also, albeit probably pretty sporadically versus during an event like snowfall.

I would encourage anyone reading this thread to please plug their local frequencies into the scanner, you never know when you might hear some activity that can be confirmed. I understand that many people have no interest in listening to this stuff, but just to at least get them all initially confirmed would be great.

460.3125 is licensed at Stag Hill (Mahwah) under WQLZ264, which would cover Suffern/Airmont.

I want to correct myself and note that the Thruway has moved all of their equipment off of the Stag Hill site, and relocated to a site 1 mile to the NW on Mountain Rd. This change was reflected on both licenses as far as the LAT/LONG, but the WQLZ264 license still references "Stag Hill", which is incorrect.

Chauffeur6, I'll try to help out on this side of the river. Yesterday, while scanning down county I did not pick up anything.

Also, Ardsley 453.2125MHz is UCALL40, which for the last week and a half I have heard communications which referenced landmarks around Bear Mountain Park (Anthony Wayne, Overlook Restaurant wedding). Note: these comm's were with a PL of 100.0.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

I noticed the same thing with 453.2125. Ardsley is the only site it's licensed at, and I'm not sure if they're using it as a Maintenance repeater or some kind of interop repeater.

Orange County Fire has 453.2125 as Ch 11 in their UHF radios. It's supposed to be 156.7 PL, though, so I'm not sure who is using it around Bear Mountain with a 100.0 PL. Are you hearing stuff related to the parks operation, or does it sound like public safety? Repeater or simplex?

It almost sounds like they are there for training purposes. Could not tell if it was simplex or repeater, but definately receiving on 453.2125. Will keep you posted.

Same with Oneida County. Ive noticed there was alot of chatter on 460.58750, and i noticed it had the same key up ID as a thuway radio had, and on my scanner it was showing up as the Oneida County tower link frequency. Come to find out its the Verona Maintence Section. I turned on PL decode and it was 97.4. i dont know the tower link pl tone, as far as i know its csq, so i just set up L/O 97.4 on the tower channel. will have to listen more to find the pl for the tower link

I'm not quite sure I follow your post. Verona Maintenance is already in the database under the Syracuse Division. 97.4 is the correct PL.

Thruway Authority Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

There are no licenses for 460.5875 in Oneida County other than the Thruway Authority. What "Oneida County tower link frequency" and "tower link pl tone" are you talking about?

yes i know verona is in the data base, i was pointing out that there is a frequency that "was" in the data base, apparently it was edited out today, listed in oneida county as "Oneida County Fire Backup". i believe its a tower to tower frequency. like i said it was in oneida database but i see you reorganized it within the last 24 hours and i no longer see it in there. this same frequency is also listed for Lewis County fire control, not shure what its purpose is as i never hear anychatter on it up here. If you look in the FCC licenses for lewis county it will show up for call sign WPKH543
WPKH543 (LEWIS, COUNTY OF, FIRE CONTROL) FCC Callsign Details
Im not seeing a license for the 460.5875 in oneida county other than the Verona Maint.

Also curious wht the canal division isnt in the DOT database, did you move it? i hear quite a bit of chatter in Utica during the summertime.

let me know if ur still confuzzeled.

No, the Nyack Maintenance Garage only covers to the Tappan Zee Bridge. Tarrytown picks up from the west bank of the Hudson River and is the first of the Westchester sections covering the remaining portions of the New York Division's properties. There are other yards in Larchmont and Yonkers.

This is not correct. Nyack Maintenance covers from the NYC line to the Spring Valley toll barrier. There is no Tarrytown or Yonkers Maintenance. The CW Maintenance section covers the Cross Westchester exclusively, and Larchmont Maintenance covers the New England Thruway from the city line to Connecticut.

Nyack Maintenance uses two repeaters to cover Rockland and Westchester. One repeater is at their West Nyack garage (453.575) and the other is in Ardsley (unknown which frequency is in use there yet, either 453.2125 or 453.8375). It appears that these two repeaters are linked.

It appears Harriman Maintenance also uses two linked repeaters. The one at the Harriman toll barrier (453.500), and most likely the one at the Mahwah site outside Suffern on 460.3125.

Larchmont Maintenance should be using 460.2125 and CW Maintenance is most likely on 460.025.

I'm still in the process of confirming the exact frequency usage and whether the repeaters are linked, but I did want to correct the bit about Nyack Maintenance, which I hadn't seen previously.
