LAKEWOOD -- An off-road motorcycle rider was killed in an accident at a motocross course just west of Green Mountain Wednesday afternoon.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says the man apparently crashed while circling the Thunder Valley course, which is located on South Rooney Road, near Bandimere Speedway and Red Rocks Amphitheater.
A medical helicopter was dispatched. However, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are treating the case as an accidental death.
