Thurston 911 trunked. No audio on car to car

we are scanning the new trunked TC 911 system. But when there a Yelm car to car or a TC car to car transmission we get a temporary lock on that channel but no audio. We are less than a mile from the Yelm car to car transmissions. Question... Shouldn't these be just as robust as other now that they are also trunked like the other talk groups. Or is there something else going on here... IE scrambling.

Tactical channels are probably encrypted

I hear them say " go to Yelm". In the past it was the vhf public works channel. The only c/c I hear on the new system is TCSO

I should say the vhf Yelm channel they used , 155 415. I think they still switch over to that

Thanks for the reply. We've not heard 155.415 since the trunking switch... I suppose, since it' not a recorded channel they must have scrambled it... my scanner stops on the talkgroup, but we hear nothing...
