TIA/RVS Alerts

On Average how many Alert 1, 2, 3’s does TIA or RVS have a day.

I got into a conversation with a co-worker about why it gets to be a not-so-biggie when we hear Alert’s @ the airports anymore.

I know most of us scan the FD’s and Airport Freqs..

I'm surprised some others that should know the answer to this haven't piped up. My guess would be that Alerts (be it 1,2,or 3) aren't something that happen every day. Maybe a weekly or even monthly event would be a more accurate way to count the alerts.

I'd ask how many times per week, and I don't believe the number would be very high, maybe 2-3?

Alert 2's several a day for TIA, Alert 3's every couple of years. a 2 is just a pane with possible problems, a 3 is a plane crash, I think that a 1 is a hot refueling standby.

I've hear Alert 2's at least once a day at TIA and with all the students at Jones I hear them a few times times a week. I know a few ENG companies have radios to talk to the tower at Jones.
This all stems from a co-worker freaking out about Sen. Inhoff's Alert 2 last week at TIA. They were in the air a whopping 5 minutes before landing and they were quite upset there wasn't a more "to-do" by the media.. "if this was in Dallas programing would be interrupted etc"..
