Hello I am a DSD+ fl supporter.

I have managed to set up Con+, Cap+, P25 & TETRA trunking fine (so I cant be too far off) but I am struggling with TIII. I have both Tait and Hytera networks near by to play with.

Here are my config files (for example, one network as an example)...

"RUN.bat" : (f is control channel)

START FMP24 -i1 -o20001 -P0.0 -f415.987500 -_3 -b-12.5 -g25.4
START FMP24 -i2 -o20002 -P0.0 -_3 -b-12.5 -g25.4 -rv
START DSDPlus -rc -fr -i20001 -v3
START DSDPlus -rv -fr -i20002 -o1

"DSDPlus.frequencies" : (155 and 345 are correct channels and f is correct)

TIII, 1, 1.1, 155, 415.987500, 407.987500, 0
TIII, 1, 1.1, 156, 415.987500, 407.987500, 0
TIII, 1, 1.2, 345, 416.150000, 408.150000, 0
TIII, 1, 1.2, 346, 416.150000, 408.150000, 0

Are the zeros at the end ok above???

"DSDPlus.networks" : (Do I need the "5" at the end? TIII area length? Things don't work without a number here) (XYZ I changed for privacy)

TIII, 1, "'XYX'", 5

"DSDPlus.sites" : (ABC I also changed for privacy)

TIII, 1, 1.1, "'ABC'"
TIII, 1, 1.2, "'ABC'"

I read about the ALOHA string and how to calculate the network length. I need to spend more time with studying this.

The site and network numbers are correct and DSD+ shows both site and network names ok.

Trouble is, when listening to calls, DSD+ jumps very fast from 1.1 to 1.2 back and forth repeatedly and I hear nothing. Traffic on the cont. ch. comes thru ok, but the 2nd f is doing the jumpity thing.

I am sure I am doing something wrong! Can anyone share their WORKING config files with me???

I hope you all understand what I am trying to explain.

Thanks guys.

ps. I think I need to capture some "CSBK Bcast" data as people talk on the network (as neighbor list is captured) and work out "area length" from this. Cheers.

This is what I have for a TIII system and it works great for me.
run bat:

Start FMP24 -i1 -o2 -P-1.7 -f453.33750000
Start dsdplus.exe -rc -i9 -o3 -v4 -ds65 -dd25 -dv30 -wch20 -wss50.200 -E -fr --
Start FMP24 -i2 -o5 -P39.1 -rv
Start dsdplus.exe -rv -i3 -o8 -v4 -ds65 -dd25 -dv30 -wss50.200 -fr -- -wel241.20 -wes204.580 -wch17

Frequencies file:

TIII, 19, 0.5, 835, 453.22500000, 0.0, 0 (This is the control channel)
TIII, 19, 0.5, 863, 453.40000000, 0.0, 0
TIII, 19, 0.5, 864, 453.40000000, 0.0, 0
TIII, 19, 0.5, 893, 453.58750000, 0.0, 0
TIII, 19, 0.5, 894, 453.58750000, 0.0, 0
TIII, 19, 0.5, 931, 453.82500000, 0.0, 0
TIII, 19, 0.5, 932, 453.82500000, 0.0, 0

Networks file:

TIII, 19, "Mecklenburg"

Sites file:

TIII, 19, 0.5, "Clarksville"

This is a 5 site system but this is the information that I use for this particular site (site 5, Clarksville).
And again this setup works great for me.

Thanks for your reply and for taking time to copy + paste your config.

Just going thru it. Seems your f info has 8 digits after the decimal place and not 6. I guess this still works ok. Just saying! Yours goes down to sub-hertz!

I had to look up what -E was. No worries - logging info.

What do the "--" do in your .bat file ? Oh I see "Show command line options in console window title" (from DSDPlus.txt file).

I guess it does not matter what order the f are in the f file (including the ctrl f). I doubt it...

Um, I don't see much difference from your config file from mine Mr. simmsrep. I think I need to spend some more time with just one network this end and see what happens. Try and figure it out.

Still no idea WTF is up this end. Thanks. Any more info is more than welcome...

No P25p2 here to play with, so can't do any testing... Thanks to the DSD+ team.

I sure hope I can figure TIII out.

I have a database of f that gives allocated channel numbers. I simply doubled the number and added either "1" or "2" to it to fill in the ch. numbers into the f file (or I was able to figure out the f by tdoing the opposite... Anyhow, enough rambling from me.

Cheers.

ps. I have had a play with the new TETRA plugin for SDR# and had some success. Cool! Thanks Mr. thewraith2008 !

Entering the even channel numbers is redundant / not required.

No, order doesn't matter. No, you don't use FCC channel numbers - you use the channel numbers found in channel grants broadcast on the control channel and match them with simultaneous voice traffic on voice channels.

Thanks Mr. slicerwizard.

Does this seem right? I want to log the syscodes in a logfile...

START DSDPlus -rc -fr -i20001 -v3 >logfile.log

File is created, "logfile.log", but it is an empty file, ie. zero bytes).

Yes but if you double the FCC channel and add 1 to it, I have arrived at the channel number that shows up in DSD+

So if one subtracts either 1 or 2 from the channel number, then divide by 2, I arrive at the FCC number and then read off the frequency from the FCC database.

I still need to do some monitoring. The system here is very quiet.

Cheers.
