Does anyone have any insight as to how the SP's on Tinker run their radio system. I hear Control simulcast on both frequencies of 406.1625 and 407.1625 but everyting else, i.e., handhelds and mobiles, is only on one freq or the other. How are the channels assigned and how do they keep traffic from both channels going on at the same time? Or do they have 2 different dispatchers in the same room, 1 on each freq, but able to monitor both channels?

Last I knew of that was P25 conventional not saying that they may have switched over to a trunked system. Are you sure that you have a control channel on that freq?? What scanner are you using maybe digital regular radio traffic on an analog scanner. Maybe Woodyrr could shed some light on the subject since he lives in the area or OKCCSI? Maybe something that needs to be checked out.

I think that is solid advice.

For myself, when it comes to Tinker operations that are confined within the perimeter of the installation, I prefer not to discuss the nature of any operations on a discussion board.
