Hey everyone, just wanted to show off a project I've been working on for a while now. It's a tiny APRS transmitter called Tracksoar. Its based on the Trackuino project and is open source. It's got a radiometrix HX1 144.390mhz 300mw transmitter and Ublox Max8 GPS receiver for RF gear. I built it specifically for tracking weather balloon and model rocket flights. To make it useful in flights it also has temperature / pressure / humidity sensors on board and transmits the data in the APRS packets. I've done a half dozen or so balloon flights and the best one made it to 108k feet. It's 2" x .75" x .5" and runs for 12 hours off a pair of AA batteries. I've hit repeaters up to 400 miles away on flights. High altitude ballooning got me back into HAM after getting abit board with antenna design which initially got me into it. To see a flight log or two and the complete source check out tracksoar.com

It uses the Arduino bootloader and was written for use with 1.0.6 of the Arduino IDE.
