I haven't been around here for awhile and was just checking in to see how things are going. I'm looking at getting a new scanner and was wondering how close Tippe was to switching over to SafeT. I know that they use it as a backup but I was wondering if there were any plans in the near future to go fully over. Last time I heard it sounded pretty imminent.

They have upgraded to equipment capable of using Hoosier SAFE-T, as you noted in your post.

Talkgroup 160 and several I-calls are using APCO-25 digital.

It appears that they are switching all users onto the "public safety" system, perhaps in anticipation of rebanding or switch to SAFE-T.

It would make sense for them to tie the system into SAFE-T, like Knox County and Delaware County did...
