Tippecanoe County P25 Band Plan

Can anybody provide me with the band plan for this system? It is not listed in the DB, and I cannot listen to it with an SDR myself due to not living anywhere near there. I am trying to get a scanner working for someone and the Motorola default of
851.00625 MHz, 6.25 kHz spacing, -45 MHz doesn’t work. I am guessing it’s a non Motorola system. But I don’t know. Thank you!

It is an P25 standard as far as programming a scanner. For most scanners you don't need any bandplan. What Make/Model scanner are you trying to program? (This will also determine if you will have issues as it is an LSM (Linear Simulcast Modulation) system, and simulcast TRS's are very well documented as to Simulcast Distortion causing headaches with scanners.

It’s a BKR radio, so it needs a band plan. Why a scanner is not being used instead, I don’t know. I’m just the one programming it…
I’m just really hoping there’s someone who lives in the area with SDRtrunk or something.
Or, alternatively, is there anyone that knows what vendor put this system together and what default band plans they tend to use?

Based on the SysID and WACN I assumed it was a Motorola system.

I programmed my G4 from RadioReference and it worked fine but it doesn't require a band plan inputted.

Ok. Perhaps there was some other issue with the way it was set up. I’ll try a Motorola band plan.

Bandplan #0: Base=851.00625 Spacing=6.25
Bandplan #1: Base=762.00625 Spacing=6.25
Bandplan #2: Base=851.01250 Spacing=12.5 TDMA
Bandplan #3: Base=762.00625 Spacing=12.5 TDMA

That's standard for P25 7/800 MHz systems, as far as I know, it doesn't matter if it is Motorola ASTRO-25, L3 Harris IP25, Orion, etc.

And then you have to know how to do NAS for that radio. If you don't set up NAS, then you better make sure your ready for a bricked/bonked denied or stun/killed radio when it affiliates. You will need a system key if its an authorized subscriber unit, which it isn't or you would have all that information from the radio shop. So if you do get it on, one key up and bye bye. Not to mention if the user gets caught in IN with a radio that is not supposed to be on that system your going to be in court with criminal charges. It's bad enough that if you do not have a Ham ticket, or written authorization, you can't have a scanner, Unication, or radio mobile. So just be aware.

Don’t worry, I’ve got that part all under control. I’ve never once had a radio I re-programmed as a scanner attempt to affiliate or me or any friends get in trouble over it otherwise. Thank you for the warning.
