Just a quick request; I'm coming home for the holidays and I plan on bringing one of the scanners with me. If anyone has a XLS, CSV, Win 92, or ARC250 (or similar) file for the Tippy TRS, or knows where to find one, please post a link or drop me a PM. I have a 785D but no digital card, so the SAFE-T stuff is not necessary.

You can ignore the personal message I sent you. I'm included the file in this post. Duh, I figured out how to attach files (didn't look low enough on the page).

I dropped you a reply to the PM, but I wanted to thank you here too in case it didn't go through.

Got the 785 all programmed up, and ready to use when we get there. I'll also be using it heavily on the trip out now for CB/FRS/WX scanning to pick up road conditions. I can't find any of my actual CB's unfortunately.

Hello all! I'm new to scanning - new to my scanner - and basically just new. Therefore, I'm not sure of the proper protocol here, so if I'm out of line - say so, and I'll promptly get back in the line!

I'm looking for a list of frequencies like this but for Montgomery County instead of Tippecanoe. I have been up and down the internet and have found several things - and have been enjoying them on my new Christmas present (a PRO-96 :)) - but I get the feeling that I'm missing quite a bit.

Is there such a list around and if so - how might I go about obtaining it?

Many thanks for any assistance.

Well, Rodney, since no one local popped in to comment, I'll share mine. By no means should they be considered expert or all-spanning :D

Your first and foremost reference is our very own radioreference.com. Depending on how many other scanner listeners that can receive Montgomery County there are, you'll find that the State of Indiana and Montgomery County areas of the database (links at the top in the forums, and to the left out in the site) should have more than enough info to keep you happy for a long time.

I would suggest if you do not have it, to buy the programming cable for your Pro-96 and use Don Starr's programming software (still free?) to do your programming. Then, you can cut and paste from the database into the program and build a scanner file for Montgomery County, SAFE-T, and any regions you frequently travel to. It is MUCH MUCH more convenient to program using software than to do it by hand.

I was asking for files themselves because I was 1) pressed for time and 2) not familiar with the new systems since I'd moved. Some people may already have the file for you, I would suggest making a new post to see. There are a number of Yahoo! groups dedicated to scanning, there's on for SAFE-T and probably one for Indiana in general, you could try there also.

It's more fun to program it just the way you want it to be though. Until we get digital trunk trackers that funtion the way the non-digital Uniden 246-T does (flexible memory) you have to get a bit creative or just plain choose not to listen to some talkgroups. You have to decide what's important to listen to to yourself, and usually downloading someone else's file will have what's important to THEM easiest to access.
