Has anyone else noticed occasional distortion on the Tippecanoe County system. It almost sounds like "bleed over" from other frequencies, or perhpas "speaker rattle". It could just be my Pro-96, but I have not noticed it on other systmes or frequencies.

Thanks

This could be completely unrelated, but a past thread I started "Trunking Problems in Tippecanoe Co." I was experiencing what seemed like the control channel covering transmissions. For example, two units would be talking, and whenever the transmission ended, the control channel sound would be heard for several seconds. I have a BC245xlt, and I think it was concluded that what I was hearing were encoded I-Calls. This is just FYI, it probably is unrelated.

I used to have a BC245xlt and had a similar problem, although I noticed it mostly at the end of transmissions. I concluded that it was related to how the BC245xlt actually used the control channel and how it tracked. I could have been wrong, however I am much more satisfied with the Pro-96.

By the way, I have not heard the distortion recently.
