I looked for a previous thread on this topic but couldn't locate it, so here goes: The data for Tippecanoe Co. is shown as analog and backup only. Is this the most current info available? I rarely year anything except some Purdue maintenance traffic. I would think I would hear some traffic on the Fowler tower since I do pick up Tri Co. fire out of Attica on here. Or possibly Monon? I'm in Newton Co. and probably too far away to pick up the W. Lafayette tower. Thanks for any guidance.

Tippecanoe County's primary means of communication is the county's own system and NOT the statewide Project Hoosier SAFE-T. SAFE-T is only utilized as a backup, when units are in the fringe areas of the county, or during mutual aid with state or other surrounding counties.

As for the Tippecanoe County system, make sure you have it programmed in as a REBANDED system, otherwise your trunking scanner will not properly scan the system. It is very busy with Tippecanoe County Fire, EMS, Sheriff, and EMA; Lafayette Fire/Police; West Lafayette Fire/Police; and Purdue Fire/Police/University Operations.

Thanks for the info. I've downloaded it and we will see. Since it is not part of the SAFE-T system, I'm guessing I will have dificulty picking anything up this far north since it won't be hitting the Fowler or Monon towers? Now I'm wondering if I even programmed it properly if it's not associated with any of the state tower sites.

Well, upon looking further, I do see where there is a site that downloaded with the data for Tippecanoe County. Still doubt I'm within range but we'll see. Thanks for the help.

If you can't get it direct, it is streamed on Live Audio' Only the PD's, FD's and Medical. We have been listening out in San Diego all week. Works great.
