hi I recently acquired a Yupiteru MVT-9000 MKII. I have read the instructions and can get to changing the opening message. I also have named my banks eg, A: Heathrow. However on bank A: Heathrow channel 000 i named it ATIS so that it flashed A:Heathrow ATIS. My question is how do I go to the next channel of Bank A and name it as APPROACH. so that channel 001 reads A: Heathrow APPROACH. channel 002 reads A:Heathrow departures and so forth? Please help as I've wracked my brain around this and can't seem to figure it out. Thanks Rishard

Hello Rishard, welcome to Radioreference. :)

Would you not put the radio in VFO mode and key in the digits for the channel you want to program , then press MR ?

Then you could alpha tag with FUNC + EDIT and use the rotary to select your characters.

Lucky you to have Heathrow to monitor !

thanks. with flights landing every 90 seconds from all over the world, we are truly lucky. Able to sit outside perimeter fence on both runway 27L and 27R. REally close you can see the pilots in the cockpit.

I tried your suggestion above. once I'm on my channel and not in VFO mode pressing func and edit retuens nothing. My bank is flashing the name heathrow. only in VFO mode does the offer to rename opening/band/bank come up. MAybe I'm doing something wrong.
