I am programming my 2180 for an EMS service and I am having trouble setting up a pager channel. I have all the decode information placed in, but when I try to use the channel I still get all the traffic (it is monitoring) on the frequency not just the page as I wish. I have unchecked the 2-tone-1 monitor button but to no avail. Any information would be helpful such as a link to a programming guide

I'm not sure if the TK-2180 programming is similar to a Motorola, but there should be an option called signalling squelch. "And" type means the radio needs the tones to unute, and "Or" means it will unmute for any traffic on the channel.

Select the Zone that your Paging channel is in, then click on zone edit. In the zone edit box there are 2 drop down lists one says Optional Signaling Decode Condition select QT/DQT
then under that is Audio Control select QT/DQT And Optional Signaling and that should fix your problem.
