It appears the issue has been resolved. Most of the calls system is back online and the web address is showing secure again.

The issue should have been prevented.

Nothing on this site is life critical, @blantonl and crew does a great job keeping this site up and running or fixing issues as quickly as possible (in this case within24 hours). Lots of things, much more important than this site should have been prevented, but that's not reality.

Thanks RR for correcting the issue.

Does this indicate Broadcastify, as a company, is having financial difficulties?

An emphatic NO.

So they’ve had the new very sim November and it took them 18 hours to install a cert? Something’s fishy.

These comments really underscore what I was saying about slip-ups like this eroding users' confidence in any product. At best, some users are left confused and unable to access a site. At worst, they will think the business behind the site is failing or has been hacked. If they have technical know-how, they will think the site is poorly run. That doesn't have to be true, perception is reality.

LOL @ not knowing when to renew cert.
It seems they knew when to renew, but forgot when to apply it. lol

It happens. Not the end of the world l, but also not something to be taken lightly. I only let it be one time for me. I immediately took inventory of all certificates, put in calendar reminders, added automation solutions, created internal documentation, did cross-training, and other stuff so there would never be a second time I forgot to renew a cert and caused an outage.

These days, the CA portals will warn you when a cert is within 90 days of expiration.

Geez, relax people. This is not that uncommon for a certificate to expire. S-Happens. This isn't Wallstreet, it's a scanner service. Take a deep breath and move on. It brought my feed and many others down but I seriously doubt you lost 1000 bitcoins in the process. Holy Crap.

We're relaxed. It's called discussion and it happens on a variety of topics. :)

The "appeal to worse problems" logical fallacy might apply here lol. The presence of other, larger problems doesn't mean discussion of smaller problems is invalidated. And I haven't seen anything out of line in this discussion..
